Ways to work together

The work takes more than one shape.

Most of this work happens week to week, whether you come on your own or as a couple. Some of it does not fit in a weekly hour.

Ongoing therapy

Weekly therapy that works at depth, for adolescents through older adults, and for couples who want to work steadily over time rather than in a single block. In person in Montrose, or by secure video in Texas and other PSYPACT states.

  • A thorough intake and history, 90 minutes for couples
  • Goals set collaboratively
  • Treatment tailored to what you bring
  • Progress reviewed regularly

Intensives

A large block of concentrated work for one person or one couple, across a single day or two consecutive days. An intensive covers ground that weekly sessions take months to reach. It suits people in crisis, those with a specific trauma or rupture to work through, clients traveling in from outside Houston, and anyone whose schedule makes a standing weekly hour unrealistic.

  • Private, one client or one couple at a time
  • Focused work on the specific impasse
  • A written plan for what comes after

Couples workshops

A weekend tune-up for several couples at once. Teaching and guided exercises that each couple works through privately, together in the room but not in group therapy. For couples caught in old arguments or unhealthy patterns, and for couples who simply want a tune-up. Either way, the weekend is about seeing the pattern clearly and learning what to do differently.

  • Small group of couples
  • Teaching plus private paired exercises
  • No public disclosure required
  • Offered on a seasonal schedule
